Main Responsibilities

As a Physiotherapist Specialist at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, you will be responsible for providing highly specialized physiotherapy services to clients with complex neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Utilize advanced clinical reasoning and judgment to investigate, analyze, and assess a variety of physiotherapy problems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with referring healthcare professionals to facilitate appropriate referrals and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the role of the physiotherapy team.
  • Employ a client-centered goal setting approach to aid the provision of individualized physiotherapy treatments and programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Educated to degree level with appropriate postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical area.
  • General experience at junior level and substantive experience at senior level in neurology.
  • Postgraduate experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in teaching and training.
  • Desirable: experience of working in a community setting.
Skills and Knowledge

You will possess:

  • Advanced skills in the assessment, treatment, and discharge planning of individuals with complex neurological conditions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant national and local guidelines and frameworks.
  • Advanced communication and report writing skills, in both verbal and written format.
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance and risk management.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
