Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Specialist + Rotational Radiographer to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload within the cardiac cath lab, as well as CT or MRI.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload within the cardiac cath lab, as well as CT or MRI.
- Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
- Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities.
- Take an active part in supervising and developing junior colleagues.
- Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
- Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programs.
- Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
- Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
- Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
- Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
- Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
- Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organizational requirements.
- Participate in Cath lab, X-ray, and CT on-call rota (within scope of practice).

Requirements
- BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification, and/or high levels of technical knowledge.
- More than 3 years' experience in a variety of Cath lab procedures.
- Experience in either Cardiac CT or MRI.
