About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to lead the development and management of our renowned sports equipment portfolio at MacGregor Black.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy Development

Develop and execute product strategies that align with our company's overall business objectives and market needs. Define product roadmaps, feature sets, and pricing strategies to drive product differentiation and competitive advantage.

Market Research and Analysis

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify market trends, opportunities, and customer needs. Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and prioritise feature development.

Product Development and Launch

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and manufacturing to develop new products and improve existing ones. Manage the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring products meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

Product Performance Analysis

Track and analyse product performance metrics such as sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share. Use performance data to evaluate product success, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for future enhancements.

Product Training and Support

Provide product training and support to internal teams, customers, and distribution partners to ensure a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and value propositions. Act as a subject matter expert for product-related inquiries and support initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively address compliance issues to mitigate risks and ensure product legality and safety.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the sports industry.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, from concept to launch.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret market research and customer insights to drive product decisions.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a competitive market.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of the sports market and its dynamics.
