About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to become a vital part of our Manufacturing Team within the Pharmacy department. This role is situated in a dynamic environment that prioritizes patient care and employs innovative systems to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare chemotherapy products during the manufacturing process.
- Dispense ready-made products and manage inventory for the manufacturing unit.
- Support the Dispensary Team in Cancer services and collaborate with wider Pharmacy colleagues.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in computer usage is essential, as most tasks are conducted through electronic systems.
While a Level 2 qualification in a Pharmacy course is preferred, we offer this position at Band 2 with opportunities for advancement to Band 3 upon successful completion of the Level 2 in Pharmacy Assistants in Manufacturing course (Buttercups) and meeting the specific requirements and competencies of a Band 3 role.
Work Schedule:
The successful candidate will participate in a rotation that includes Saturday, Sunday, and Bank holiday shifts across the dispensary and stores areas.

Role Objectives:
Assist in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care and medicines management, ensuring compliance with current medicines legislation. Support the smooth operation of the manufacturing units in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and MHRA guidelines.
Participate in the accurate and timely dispensing and supply of medications, with Band 3 experience achieved upon successful completion of all objectives outlined in the Trust's aseptic training manual.
The operator must complete the Level 2 for Pharmacy Assistants in Manufacturing course and be validated in the In-process checking for aseptic manufacturing.
