Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Support Administrator to join our team at Leeds Student Medical Practice. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including data entry, patient registration, and telephone answering.
  • Assist with workflow, reception, and medical secretaries to provide a positive and friendly professional image and patient experience.
  • Operate commonly used IT packages and be computer literate.
  • Work as part of a team member and autonomously, with excellent communication skills and a polite and confident telephone manner.
  • Be flexible and cooperative, with a sensitive and empathetic approach in distressing situations.
Requirements
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of administration in the health sector or able to demonstrate transferable skills from other sectors.
  • Good clear and confident communication skills.
  • Good standard of literacy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize own workload.
  • Experience of working with the public.
