About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to join our team at Hargreaves Lansdown. As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and research of investments, with a focus on funds, to identify those with the best long-term potential for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of allocated funds and investment sectors to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of investment markets, trends, and current affairs.
  • Produce high-quality investment content, including quarterly sector reviews, specialist articles, and fund updates, to support our clients in making informed investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with our research team to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of investment sectors and opportunities.
  • Support our Financial Advisors and Helpdesk colleagues in responding to investment-specific client queries.
Requirements
  • Experience in critical analysis of quantitative data to evaluate investment potential.
  • Excellent knowledge of markets, investment trends, and current affairs.
  • Ability to be proactive and multi-task to prioritize workload and manage time efficiently.
  • Proven understanding of a broad range of asset classes and investment styles.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Skilled in building professional relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Engaging writing skills and astute attention to detail, with an understanding of tone of voice guidelines.
  • Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and/or an appropriate industry qualification up to RQF Level 4 (e.g. IMC plus R04, CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) will be beneficial to your success as an Investment Analyst.
Interview Process

The interview process will entail a 2-stage interview process, including competency-based questions and a writing task.

Working Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
