Job Title: Physical Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Havant. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a range of abilities at KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote a healthy, active lifestyle and inspire students to excel in physical education.
  • Encourage and support students to lead healthy lifestyles through a broad range of sporting activities.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to ensure continued improvement.
  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular sports programmes and promote student participation in school teams and competitions.
  • Participate in the school's ECT induction programme, receiving mentoring and professional development to support your early teaching career.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff to maintain high standards of physical education.
Requirements:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to receive it by the start date.
  • A strong degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • A passion for sport and physical activity, with the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities, encouraging personal growth and teamwork.
  • A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
