Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health support to children and young people, their families, and carers in educational and mental health settings across Calderdale.

Main Duties

As a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering direct assessments and interventions for young people within education, utilizing a low-intensity service model and cognitive behavioural therapy.
  • Supporting the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing, including the creation of mental health and wellbeing policies, resources, and training.
  • Providing timely advice and signposting support to education staff to enhance their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils.
