We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Expert to join our team at Vitality. As a Claims Expert, you will be responsible for assessing and managing Income Protection claims, ensuring that they are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing and Managing Income Protection Claims: You will be responsible for assessing and managing Income Protection claims, ensuring that they are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Drafting and Issuing Claims Decision Letters: You will draft and issue claims decision letters and other claims-related correspondence, including communications to senior members of staff.
- Liaising with Stakeholders: You will liaise with strategic underwriters, management, reinsurers, and other stakeholders to ensure the swift and correct outcome of a claim.
- Supporting Team Members: You will support team members with best practice techniques, medical practice, and knowledge sharing.
- Client Service: You will follow internal client service practices, building rewarding relationships and enabling exceptional client service.
- Experience in Assessing and Managing IP Claims: You will have a broad experience in assessing and managing IP claims, as detailed above.
- Experience of Dealing with FOS: You will have experience of dealing directly and effectively with the FOS on claims-related matters.
- Good Experience of Working with Reinsurers: You will have good experience of working with reinsurers.
- Confident Communication Skills: You will be confident in presenting ideas and training peers.
- Intermediate Skills in Office Apps: You will have intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and usual Office apps.
- Detailed Knowledge of the UK Insurance Market: You will have a detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment.
