Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd is pleased to be representing our client, a well-established and innovative medical device manufacturer. We are recruiting for a Quality Engineering Lead to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Quality Engineering personnel, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the company's quality system.
- Deputise for the Head of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs as required.
- Provide quality matrix data to the management team for review and discussion.
- Supervise and mentor quality engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Investigate and analyze internal failures, supplier quality issues, and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct final inspections and approve the release of finished goods to the market.
Requirements:
- Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Strong quality assurance background, preferably in the medical industry.
- Experience in process validation and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP).
- Knowledge of Class 3 implantable medical devices and CE marking requirements.
- Experience in internal and supplier auditing.
