About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team at St David's nursing home in Ealing. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing high-quality food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking breakfast items, vegetable preparation, and making sandwiches.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules, demonstrating your ability to be organized and methodical.
  • Adhere to statutory and Company Health and Safety Regulations, prioritizing the well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Properly store dry and perishable goods, as well as cleaning materials, to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Clean and sanitize all crockery, cutlery, and drinking vessels for resident use, utilizing our main kitchen dish washing machine.
  • Ensure all pots, pans, cooking utensils, and service counter containers are cleaned to required standards and stored correctly.
