Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive KS2 team in a two-form entry Primary School in Wigan. The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with daily pay rates of £85-£90.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a child with ADHD on a 1:1 basis in Year 3
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, as well as providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to the child, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child's needs

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
  • Experience of working with SEND
  • Experience of the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
