About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Construction Team at McDonald's. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing construction projects for our iconic brand, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, from scoping and design to delivery and handover.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including franchised owner/operators, external consultants, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including franchisees and their teams.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Reinvestment Team to develop and implement strategies for refurbishing and improving our restaurant estate.
About the Team
You will be part of the Construction Department, working closely with the Reinvestment Team to deliver construction projects across our restaurant estate. The team is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, from scoping and design to delivery and handover.
About the Customer
Your primary customers will be franchised owner/operators, their management teams, and crew, as well as the Operations Teams for company-owned restaurants. You will also work closely with external consultants and contractors to deliver projects to the required standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in a retail or QSR business.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to build and maintain excellent professional relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- Ability to travel to sites to chair project progress meetings and design reviews.
