Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement & maintain global category strategies in line with the evolving strategic plans of the business.

  • Undertake spend and budget analysis and employ SRM/procurement tools to identify supply-side risks and saving opportunities and agree action plans to enable implementation/delivery and ensure these are captured within site and Group Category plans.
  • Lead site formal EHS/QA supplier assessments & audits in accordance with the businesses evolving needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Well-developed strategic and change management skills with experience of the utilisation of ERP systems, and specifically mainframe MRP & data analysis systems.
  • A well-rounded procurement professional with a real drive to deliver on strategic advancements, MCIPS would be a real plus.
  • Previous experience of direct, indirect & Capex procurement best practice.
  • The ability to define, write and implement category plans and strategies.
  • Previous experience of working within a chemical manufacturing business although this is not essential.
