Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement & maintain global category strategies in line with the evolving strategic plans of the business.

  • Negotiate and develop formal supply agreements for your defined portfolio of critical raw materials to deliver supply security at favourable commercial terms for existing and new supply chains enhancing contribution to business profitability, cash flow and business growth.
  • Undertake spend and budget analysis and employ SRM/procurement tools to identify supply-side risks and saving opportunities and agree action plans to enable implementation/delivery and ensure these are captured within site and Group Category plans.
  • Lead site formal EHS/QA supplier assessments & audits in accordance with the businesses evolving needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Well-developed strategic and change management skills with experience of the utilisation of ERP systems, and specifically mainframe MRP & data analysis systems.
  • A well-rounded procurement professional with a real drive to deliver on strategic advancements, MCIPS would be a real plus.
  • Previous experience of direct, indirect & Capex procurement best practice.
  • The ability to define, write and implement category plans and strategies.
  • Previous experience of working within a chemical manufacturing business although this is not essential.
