About the Role
At Deep Science Ventures Limited, we're seeking a seasoned Commercial Leader to spearhead the development of industrial-scale heat pumps. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the commercialization of this innovative technology, addressing the pressing need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the manufacturing sector.
The Opportunity Area
The production of cement, steel, chemicals, aluminium, fertiliser, pulp & paper, glass, and industrially-produced food and drinks relies heavily on the use of fossil fuels to generate process heat. This not only contributes to climate change but also poses significant economic and environmental challenges. By leveraging industrial-scale heat pumps, we aim to electrify heating sources, reducing emissions and creating a more sustainable future.
Our Approach
We are committed to bridging the economic gap between existing natural gas-powered heating and industrial-scale heat pumps. To achieve this, we need a Commercial Leader with a deep understanding of technical product development, R&D commercialization, and end-to-end sales. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the adoption of our heat pump solution, making it competitive with existing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercialization of industrial-scale heat pumps, driving revenue growth and market adoption.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy, leveraging your network and industry expertise.
- Collaborate with our technical team to ensure the development of a commercially viable heat pump solution.
- Manage sales, marketing, and business development efforts to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our customer base and market share.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading commercial aspects of innovative engineering, industrial, or hardware technology ventures.
- Broad understanding of technical product development and R&D commercialization.
- Experience in end-to-end sales, from generating sales leads to closing commercial and/or development agreements.
- Strong network and relationships within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, driving multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
