The successful candidate will possess experience in general practice procedures and should be either proficient in or willing to train in:

About the Candidate

All applicants should possess the following qualifications, registrations, skills, and experience:

  • A relevant nursing degree
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience
  • Competence in conducting asthma, COPD, and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certifications
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultations, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of chronic conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations, and immunizations, assisting with minor surgeries, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry
  • A compassionate demeanor with an empathetic approach, showing kindness in all aspects of work
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting chronic conditions
  • Insight into current nursing issues and the broader NHS landscape
