About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering MEP documentation on projects in a timely and accurate manner. They will also be required to maintain professional working relationships with clients, attend meetings, and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage MEP projects from conception to completion
  • Review and approve work produced by junior team members
  • Perform design calculations and create MEP system drawings
  • Write system specifications and attend meetings with the design team
  • Write feasibility reports and attend site visits to inspect installations
  • Learn to manage projects and require professional training to gain necessary qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of design experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with RIBA stage of construction design work
  • Experience with different types of design contracts, including design and build and traditional
  • Understanding of data confidentiality and employee wellbeing
  • Proficiency in software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Electrical OM, Revit, and Dialux
  • Chartered engineer with the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) is an advantage
  • Master's degree in engineering or physics or science-based degree
  • Membership to CIBSE, IET, or IMechE
