Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for various data centre, mission critical, and healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions meet client briefs and regulatory standards.
  • Design and deliver electrical engineering systems, including leading the electrical service design on projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and deliver consistent high-quality services to clients.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of a team of technically competent engineers within the sector.
  • Seek new opportunities to develop the business and drive profitability.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Prior experience as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Engineer, with a strong understanding of the design lifecycle.
  • Proficient in computer modelling design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to project objectives.
  • Background in working throughout the stages of the project lifecycle, from conception to launch.
  • Ability to engage with junior support staff, offering advice and guidance to ensure their skills development.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working on prior data centre or mission critical projects.
  • Chartered engineer status, preferably within an institution.
