About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Verto People. As an Area Sales and Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business development and account management in the North of the UK, covering the Midlands up to Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selling conveyor components, belting, power transmission, and MRO products to End Users, distribution, and OEMs within the food, packaging, materials handling, or manufacturing industries
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, including End Users, distribution, and OEMs
  • Working closely with Product Specialists and engineering departments to provide expert product knowledge and support
  • Handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, sales, and completion contracts
  • Working remotely and covering the North of the UK
Requirements
  • Experience in an engineering sales position, such as Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, or Business Development Manager
  • Knowledge of engineered products, components, belting, power transmission, materials handling, and MRO products, or exposure selling to End Users, distribution, and OEMs within the food, packaging, materials handling, or manufacturing industries
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to analyze sales data and market trends
