Job Title: Compliance and Technical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Technical Engineer to join our team at a market-leading manufacturing organisation. This newly created position reflects the company's continued investment and commitment to strengthening its Engineering and Technical department.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for someone with existing experience in technical standards and compliance to join a thriving business where you will be given the opportunity to also be a gate point for technical queries as well as keeping all technical documentation compliance with relevant standards and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and external regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for technical queries, delivering prompt and accurate responses.
  • Triage and prioritize incoming inquiries based on urgency and complexity.
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with product presentations, demonstrations, and customer visits by providing technical expertise.
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments to enhance product knowledge.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical training materials for both internal teams and customers.
  • Provide feedback and insights to support product development and improvement.
  • Offer product advice and deliver training materials for new or updated products and services.
  • Support customer site visits and meetings, offering technical input as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a Compliance Engineer / Certification Engineer role within a manufacturing environment, with the willingness and ability to undertake Technical Support duties.
  • Experience and proficiency in maintaining technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Engineering biased qualification such as HNC / HND / BTEC / BEng would be advantageous but time-served engineering experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in CE implementation will be advantageous.
