Head of Digital Service Operations - IOT - Global Leader

As a seasoned professional, you will oversee complex networks of IOT or smart devices, ensuring operational excellence and driving business growth. This is a senior-level role where you will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction of our key business area.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing NOCs, operational systems, and large-scale programs. You will lead and manage a team responsible for ensuring that IOT devices and networks are operational, with maximum uptime and technical support delivered where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the NOC, managing 24x7 systems and ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and vendors, enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensure top-tier performance across all platforms.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage incident and change management using ITIL methodology to ensure smooth handling of critical system operations.
  • Utilize advanced network monitoring systems to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders, providing clear, business-friendly explanations of complex technical solutions.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to identify, evaluate, and improve NOC performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure the reliability and availability of critically important systems through structured, organized management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in a technical role within a Managed Service environment, demonstrating impactful results.
  • Experience in IOT, Smart Devices or a similar environment.
  • In-depth experience managing NOCs, operational systems, and large-scale programs.
  • Expertise in network monitoring tools and managing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL methodologies and hands-on experience with incident and change management.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

This is a senior-level role with a competitive salary package, including circa £80-£100k + 17% Bonus + Excellent benefits package. The working arrangements are 3-5 days a week in Central London office, with flexibility increasing over time.
