About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Test Centre team in Dumfries, Scotland. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting operations and ensuring the highest standards of excellence in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead sub-groups and individuals within the Test Centre to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
- Operate and maintain measuring equipment and data logging equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Design and manage projects related to equipment building, modification, commissioning, and development to suit test requirements and ensure rig consistency.
- Produce, control, and issue documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Develop advanced knowledge of Test Centre software to provide data and presentations as needed.
- Promote standards of excellence and commitment to continual improvement within the team.
- Take responsibility for issued test and rig projects to ensure timely completion and quality results.
- Support current and future Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) site and corporate initiatives to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field. You should have relevant experience in a test, maintenance, or manufacturing environment and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of CAD software, particularly Autodesk Inventor, is also essential.
