Refine Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Planning Policy Officer to join our client's Development Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the planning policy framework in a dynamic and vibrant area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement planning policies and strategies, ensuring alignment with national and regional guidelines.
- Lead complex planning policy projects from start to finish, conducting public consultations and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Perform in-depth research and data analysis to inform policymaking, generating comprehensive reports and presentations for council sessions and external parties.
- Collaborate with the Development Control team to ensure adherence to policies, representing the Council at public inquiries and hearings.
- Provide expert planning policy advice to council members and the public, guiding and assisting junior planning officers in the department.
- A degree in planning or a related discipline.
- Preferably a Licentiate or full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site.
