The Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the construction aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality standards, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Ensure site managers are monitoring the quality of goods received.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on progress and provide lookahead milestone targets.
  • Provide a monthly progress report to the client.
  • Act as the main point of contact between sites and head office.
  • Deliver best practice and ensure the wider team does the same.
  • Attend snagging and back snagging and ensure the units are up to standard.
  • Identify new methods of construction and operating the business for commercial success.
  • Provide support to the commercial team when appraising development opportunities.
  • Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of improving contribution to the organization's goals.

About You

We are looking for an experienced individual with circa 10 years' experience working in a construction firm, developer, or in construction management. You will have a full driving license, experience of managing projects with agreed parameters, and proven technical knowledge of the construction industry. You will also have experience of high-end residential construction projects, delivering excellent results, and setting up project programs and holding progress to the program.

You will have excellent people skills, managing multiple stakeholders across project work, and be able to demonstrate an organized and systematic way of working. You will also have the ability to take a creative approach to problem-solving, good computer skills, and working knowledge of cloud-based software. Commercial awareness with good business acumen is essential, as is the ability to direct/manage/supervise multiple sites. Experience of sustainable construction is desirable.
