Business Intelligence Analyst Job Description

Required IT Ltd is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our expanding Data Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering strategic insights to our internal customers, distributors, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop engaging data visualizations in Power BI to provide high-level interactive performance indicators and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data, Senior Business Intelligence Analysts, and the Technology team to develop new reporting requirements to support business change initiatives.
  • Optimize data solutions available via our central Data Platform by understanding stakeholder needs, current data flows/models, and converting them into accurate, new or enhanced outputs.
  • Ensure that Business as Usual (BAU) and small change data delivery consistently meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Support the education of super users in data available and the use of data visualization and analysis solutions, reducing manual effort and data exposure.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, conduct detailed reviews of individual data items, and enable automated validation to support efficient change delivery.
  • Document model designs, define opportunities for improvements, and work with the Data Team to deliver these.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in designing MI/BI solutions in PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of best practice in Power BI model development, reporting design, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
  • Experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or Business Analyst.
  • Knowledge of MS Azure Modern Data Warehouse Architecture.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
