Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our team at Get Recruited (UK) Ltd. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager with month-end management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, and other financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Reconcile the balance sheet, investigating and resolving any differences, for review by the Finance Manager.
- Produce commentary for the figures, analyzing and investigating to identify errors and unexpected variances or trends.
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly reviews.
- Process monthly payroll, expenses, and associated duties and reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT reconciliation.
- Process purchase and sales ledger invoices.
- Reconcile income.
- Assist the Finance Manager with statutory accounts and the annual audit.
- Provide ad-hoc support, analysis, and partnering to non-finance colleagues.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager as needed.
Requirements:
- AAT Level 3 or above, or Qualified by Experience, or Part CIMA/ACCA qualified.
- Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant role, or Management Accountant or Finance Manager level.
- Experience with month-end/management accounts or end-to-end management accounts process.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience with double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with Sage, an advantage but not essential.
