Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our team at Get Recruited (UK) Ltd. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager with month-end management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, and other financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet, investigating and resolving any differences, for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Produce commentary for the figures, analyzing and investigating to identify errors and unexpected variances or trends.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly reviews.
  • Process monthly payroll, expenses, and associated duties and reconciliations.
  • Assist with VAT reconciliation.
  • Process purchase and sales ledger invoices.
  • Reconcile income.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with statutory accounts and the annual audit.
  • Provide ad-hoc support, analysis, and partnering to non-finance colleagues.
  • Deputise for the Finance Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 3 or above, or Qualified by Experience, or Part CIMA/ACCA qualified.
  • Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant role, or Management Accountant or Finance Manager level.
  • Experience with month-end/management accounts or end-to-end management accounts process.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Experience with Sage, an advantage but not essential.
