About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Arjo. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small team responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, development, and continual improvement of our QHSE management systems.
  • Provide an efficient and effective systems compliance support service, working closely with stakeholders across the business to promote and ensure compliance to our management systems, regulatory requirements, and other standards.
  • Act as a quality mentor within the organization, ensuring staff are trained and work in accordance with company policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor performance and manage, motivate, and develop your team in line with company policies and Arjo's guiding principles.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for the UKI market, undertaking reviews on government websites and other information sources for changes to or new regulations.
  • Review and update the associated legal register with any applicable changes, and review and amend management system procedures associated with any changes to the regulations.
  • Take an active role in the HSE committee, working with internal stakeholders to provide support and guidance and promote engagement, participation, and ownership to drive continual HSE performance improvements.
  • Ensure submission of QRC-related company data into various platforms in line with external and internal regulatory and compliance-related requirements.
  • Assist in the development of the Arjo Integrated Management System, reviewing new International and National Standards, relevant legislation, and company procedures and process maps.
  • Regularly review the Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems to ensure they meet ISO systems requirements and business needs, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support staff inductions and training, ensuring employees have access to applicable QRC platforms and sites.
  • Prepare and deliver QHSE training, maintaining records and compiling ad hoc and scheduled reports for management system reviews.
  • Provide support and assist the business in the completion of tender submissions to maximize potential business gains.
  • Review, update, and develop product PAQs to support UKI business, encouraging ownership, engagement, and compliance of management systems, legislative, and other requirements across all business operations.
  • Undertake regular reviews of risks associated with Arjo UKI business operations, working with stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk assessments are in place to manage and reduce risk.
  • Control and implement internal audits of the Integrated Management System, reporting findings to local management and other stakeholders.
  • Escalate all major NCs and other serious issues to the Quality Director.
  • Support the business with projects to ensure compliance and that quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements are considered and met within project scope.
  • Ensure QRC projects are organized, progressed, and managed in line with documented project plans, maintaining records.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience working within a SHEQ/Compliance environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience of ISO management systems, specifically ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Sound working knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and relevant legislation.
  • Working knowledge of Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision to agreed timescales, prioritizing workload to maximize results.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake varied responsibilities when working alone or as part of a team.
  • Driving license required.
