Senior Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Elderly care home in Rhos on Sea, Colwyn Bay LL28. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm, and supportive.
  • Act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring their responsibilities are carried out in full.
  • Participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication as prescribed, accurately maintaining records.
  • Supervise and support the care team, ensuring the Care Home values of trust, respect, and care are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Three years minimum experience in a residential Care or Nursing Home environment.
  • Minimum of an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, QCF, or equivalent.
  • Supervisory/leadership skills and a willingness to develop new skills.
