Role Overview: The Ceded Finance and Operations function is integral to advancing the company’s growth and profitability through the Ceded Reinsurance Strategy. This role encompasses accountability for the administration of outward reinsurance contracts, controls, and reporting, as well as driving process excellence through technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide global operational support and reporting for facultative reinsurance.
- Ensure compliance in ceded premiums and loss calculations by reviewing reinsurance contracts and facultative certificates.
- Oversee the month-end close process for ceded premiums, validating transactions with offshore partners.
- Facilitate the monthly settlement of facultative business, addressing any related issues.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external clients for effective communication and timely responses.
- Assist in training and oversight of offshore partners.
- Support cash administration tasks, including general ledger postings and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with claims and underwriting teams to resolve inquiries.
- Generate internal status reports and key performance indicators for ceded activities.
- Manage foreign currency exchange processes related to settlements.
- Ensure compliance with operational controls, including SOX requirements.
- Handle additional ad-hoc requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in reinsurance operations.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel.
- Relevant qualifications (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of retrocession and third-party capital operations is a plus.
- Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with offshore operations is preferred.

Compensation: The expected base salary for this position ranges from USD $72,000 to $120,000, depending on the candidate's experience and work location. Additionally, employees are eligible for competitive incentive targets based on overall performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical plans, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and more.
