Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Planning Director to join our UK Transport Planning Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, recruiting and developing a team, and providing expert transport planning advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase revenue and market share
  • Lead and manage a team of transport planners to deliver high-quality projects and services
  • Provide expert advice to clients on transport planning matters, including policy development, project management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tendering for contracts and developing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other teams within RPS Group to deliver integrated solutions that meet the needs of our clients

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in transport planning, with a strong understanding of the UK transport planning sector
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver financial targets
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
