This organization is a distinguished charity that specializes in housing and residential care, known for its exceptional ethos and culture, prioritizing the well-being of both its staff and residents.
Role Objective: To oversee the designated area as assigned by the Registered Care Home Manager during shifts, with a specific focus on technology and device management.
Key Responsibilities:
Care Standards and Quality Assurance:
- Guarantee that person-centered care is consistently provided to residents, ensuring that care staff operate effectively.
- Identify and address any technology-related challenges, such as issues with care planning devices, by coordinating with the appropriate support teams.
- Recognize and mitigate potential risks to residents, staff, or visitors during shifts, ensuring that all incidents are documented appropriately.
- Collaborate with the Registered Care Home Manager to review, document, and update residents' care plans as necessary.
- Serve as a competent role model and a knowledgeable resource for the care team.
- Ensure that all medications are administered and stored in accordance with established policies and best practice guidelines.
- Work with the Registered Care Home Manager to ensure medication management aligns with the Trust's and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
- Oversee the electronic records related to care and medication for residents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the nutritional needs of each resident, maintaining records of dietary requirements and monitoring calorie intake.
- Collaborate with activity coordinators to ensure that residents' leisure and well-being needs are met.
Applicants must possess a minimum of NVQ Level 3 and/or be working towards NVQ Level 5.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet research is required.
A strong interest and aptitude for IT devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops are essential.
Demonstrated administrative and workload management skills are necessary.
