We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Engineering Team Leader to join our dedicated service team at Kemp Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of Health and Safety, ensuring that our initiatives and requirements are acted upon and communicated to the relevant forum or individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Health and Safety initiatives and requirements, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
- Conduct safety audits, site risk assessments, and associated training (e-learning completion).
- Investigate and report on Near Miss and Job Safety Observation Lead Indicator incidents.
- Manage engineer performance, including dialogues, engineer engagement, retention, coaching, and development.
- First-level technical escalation and management of engineering coverage in the team.
- Manage team meetings, communication of business objectives, and performance against goals and targets.
- Complete Service audits and manage WIP (Work-In-Progress) to ensure job and service completion to promise.
- Maintain 5S standards and conduct audits, taking action as required.
- Good levels of man management skills, with experience working in a team and promoting quality customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop the potential of staff.
- Comfortable in customer-facing situations and with good levels of numeracy and literacy.
- Manage a team of 10-20 engineers (subject to location).
- Energetic, motivated, and proactive team player.
- Qualified maintenance engineer (NVQ level 3/equivalent) in a relevant discipline or industry experience.
- Good knowledge of company IT systems and the ability to provide first-level support.
- Conflict management and qualified to conduct Thorough Examination.
- Demonstrate successful communication and management skills to deliver excellent service through a team of engineers.
