Huyton, Knowsley, United Kingdom Change Grow Live Full time

Overview

Do you believe in the power of transformation?

The most effective professionals share a common trait.

They genuinely care.

At Change Grow Live, we are motivated by the conviction that we can profoundly influence the lives of those we serve. We provide a secure and nurturing environment, respecting each individual and collaborating to determine the most suitable treatment and care strategies. Our core principles - 'Be open, be compassionate, and be bold' - inspire us daily as we assist individuals in reshaping their lives, evolving as persons, and embracing life to its fullest.

Are you skilled, experienced, and passionate about making a significant impact? We are looking for a committed Recovery Coordinator to engage with and evaluate our service users, ensuring they receive timely, customized interventions that address their specific needs.

CGL Knowsley is a pioneering and progressive service with a solid history of effectively engaging individuals with complex circumstances. Our work is grounded in harm reduction principles, offering non-judgmental, evidence-based information and guidance regarding substance use and its associated risks. In this role, you will be part of the Knowsley Team as an Opiate Recovery Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent support to service users from their first interaction with our service throughout their treatment and recovery process. Implement personalized interventions aimed at minimizing the harm associated with opiate use, whether through group sessions or individual engagement. Ensure service users receive a thorough, recovery-oriented detoxification plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support. Collaborate with other organizations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks. Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community. Serve as a representative for service users in accessing partnership services. Work closely with service users to facilitate their social reintegration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination. Collaborate with our partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for our clients, including healthcare providers and pharmacists. Offer community-based clinics for our clients.

What We Are Looking For:

Knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substances, particularly opiate use. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient IT capabilities. Proactive qualities, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A solid understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices. Ability to work as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders. Ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritizing the needs of service users. Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to adhering to necessary safeguards. Pursuit of continuous learning opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills, while contributing to the growth and development of colleagues. Business insurance if driving is required.

What We Offer:

25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing by one day for each year of service for the first five years. A dedicated 'Wellness' hour each week, access to a 'Wellness' hub, and an Employee Assistance Programme. Participation in a contributory pension scheme. A wide range of benefits, including discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, and more. A warm and supportive team environment. Extensive training, career development, and progression opportunities. Generous referral program.

If this resonates with you and you're eager to embark on a fulfilling journey with Change Grow Live, we would be delighted to connect with you.

Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.
