Job Title: Senior Strategic Planning Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Strategic Planning Manager to join our Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving forward the implementation and delivery of cancer services transformation across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Velindre NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead dedicated planning support for key elements of the service transformation agenda across CAV UHB and with partners across South East Wales.
- Work closely with the Programme Director for Strategic Clinical Redesign, CAVUHB and the Assistant Director of Planning, VNHST, to drive forward approaches for the implementation and delivery of the cancer services transformation agenda.
- Support the Head of Strategic Planning to continually develop and mature the UHB's approach to strategic planning by providing the necessary skills and experience to meet the long-term strategic goals of the organisation.
- Successfully manage significant transformation projects within a large complex organisation or system.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders, clinicians, and other key partners.
- Provide strategic planning and project management expertise to support the delivery of the cancer services transformation agenda.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in strategic planning and project management, preferably in a healthcare or public sector setting.
- Proven track record of delivering complex transformation projects within a large complex organisation or system.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and team building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
