Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our operations. In this essential position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products consistently adhere to the high standards set by our clientele. You will be working on a continental day shift pattern from 6am to 6pm, playing a crucial role in minimizing waste and upholding our esteemed reputation for quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assessments and positive product releases to confirm that all items meet customer requirements.
  • Oversee production lines, detect, and rectify quality-related issues to mitigate waste.
  • Keep precise quality control documentation and carry out shelf-life evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with packhouse protocols and verify label correctness.
  • Support the training of personnel on product grading standards.
  • Conduct routine audits on equipment calibration, hygiene practices, HACCP, and food safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Understanding of quality control methodologies and practices in fresh produce.
  • Background in performing audits and inspections is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HACCP guidelines is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong dedication to quality.
  • Capability to work autonomously and proactively address quality concerns.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
