Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Search. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a vital role in assisting our Private Client Financial Planners in providing exceptional financial planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial plans and reports to meet and/or exceed agreed activity targets.
  • Develop and maintain technical and market awareness knowledge to provide effective advice to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, including CPD requirements.
  • Negotiate and agree contracts with clients, working closely with Financial Planners and the Head of Research.
  • Compile and complete new applications and schemes in accordance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Record and maintain information on Intelligent Office to ensure efficient workflow management and record-keeping.
  • File and store records and files in accordance with internal standards.
  • Develop and maintain report writing and communication skills to enable effective client communications.
  • Undertake project-based work as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in financial services, preferably in a financial planning, research, or technical capacity.
  • Diploma qualification, ideally with a view to becoming Chartered.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical competence and ability to apply internal and regulatory standards.
  • Professional appearance and adaptability to changing demands and priorities.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
