About the Role:

Nigel Wright Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client, a leading independent manufacturer of performance and speciality chemicals. As a key member of the site team, you will play a crucial role in the development of a new engineering & maintenance management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a new maintenance strategy and plan for the site, including the creation of an effective workflow system to maximize performance and drive utilization.
  • Provide leadership, management, and coaching to a team of maintenance professionals to enable them to reach their full potential.
  • Take ownership of the development of high-quality maintenance systems and processes to drive effective allocation and execution of work, while ensuring long-term integrity.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager and other site leaders to plan and execute site shutdowns, including contractor management to support the site's production plan.
  • Develop and deliver a high-quality maintenance service to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management, with a strong track record of developing and delivering high-quality maintenance services.
  • Previous experience in a complex and dynamic manufacturing environment, with a strong appreciation of the value of systems and processes to deliver great service.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to give confidence to senior management and provide direction to the maintenance team.
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, with a strong understanding of maintenance best practices.
