About the Role

The Chief Corporate Services Officer will play a critical role in the strategic development and overall management of SAUL Trustee Company (STC). This position is responsible for the quality and efficiency of services provided to SAUL members and participating employers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of STC's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and goals.
  2. Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, reporting back to the Executive Management Team as necessary.
  3. Take operational ownership of the Universal Pensions Management (UPM) system, ensuring effective services are delivered to SAUL members and participating employers.
  4. Lead, coach, and develop staff and managers in the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Member Administration, Data Reconciliations, and Payroll teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  5. Monitor and address complaints, feedback, and compliments, identifying opportunities to enhance services and improve member experience.
  6. Ensure high-quality services are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner, meeting the needs of SAUL members and participating employers.
  7. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the company's assets and reputation are protected.
  8. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension administration calculations, processes, and systems, with a preference for extensive experience with pension platforms, specifically UPM.
  9. Effectively manage departmental budgets, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and optimal resource allocation.
  10. Bring a minimum of three years' experience in leading and managing pensions administration delivery teams, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and driving business growth.
  11. Possess industry-recognized qualifications, such as the Associate of the Pensions Management Institute (APMI) or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  12. Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry developments, ensuring STC remains compliant and competitive.
  13. Develop and support other members of staff and line managers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  14. Exhibit strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on people and values, driving business success and member satisfaction.
  15. Apply excellent planning and organizing skills, ensuring seamless delivery of services and effective resource allocation.
