Land Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Director to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our regional management team, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition of land and maintaining a high-quality land bank.

• Facilitate and manage the purchase of land assets to maintain the region's balance sheet assets.
• Oversee the planning process within the region, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor the land bank and aim to maintain a stable supply of land assets.
• Purchase land in a profitable manner, adhering to company profit margins.
• Monitor local plans and manage the promotion of land within the strategic land bank.
• Report on land asset issues and purchases at regional board meetings.
• Contribute to the running of the region through membership of the regional board of directors.
• Attend regional management team and board meetings to advise on land issues.

• Degree in Estate Management or equivalent.
• Demonstrable track record of buying land in the regional area.
• Proven senior experience within Land & Planning for a PLC developer.
• Good understanding of legal obligations.
• Proven list of contacts in the region.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of planning authorities.
• Strong mathematical and IT ability.
• Ability to assess and analyze information.
• In-depth understanding of budget management.
• Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
