Camp Manager
The Camp Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for the successful delivery of our multi-activity holiday childcare programs. This position requires a highly motivated and experienced professional who can ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management
- Directly manage a team of staff to ensure they deliver high-quality care and activities.
- Inspire staff to deliver quality activities by leading by example with energy and enthusiasm.
- Policy and Procedure
- Ensure all policies and procedures on camp are adhered to by staff and children, including health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
- Implement new procedures as needed to ensure camp runs smoothly and remains a safe environment.
- Communication
- Liaise with parents, host school representatives, and Head Office to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact for parents on camp, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Administrative Duties
- Manage administrative tasks on camp, including sign-in and sign-out procedures, registration, staff rotas, and changes to the timetable.
- Program Delivery
- Work with the Early Years Leader to ensure Ofsted requirements are met on camp, and liaise with inspectors as needed.
- Liaise with staff teams of specialist programs to ensure smooth running of the site.
- Welfare and Safety
- Continuously promote the welfare of children in care and ensure high-quality childcare is provided.
- Ensure the provision of childcare meets the needs of individual children from diverse backgrounds and stages of development.
- Qualifications
- Qualified or working towards a qualification in childcare, teaching, or coaching, with significant experience working with children.
- Experience
- Natural leader with management experience, ideally in the holiday camp, childcare, teaching, or coaching sectors.
- Skills
- Excellent communicator with strong face-to-face customer service skills.
- Good working knowledge of camp activities and ability to take short-term cover of groups.
- Good decision-maker with the ability to assess and make informed judgments.
- Pro-active and conscientious, able to adapt to situations as needed.
