Join Tetra Tech as a Graduate Ecologist

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Ecologist to support our highly skilled ecologists in undertaking a range of habitat and protected species surveys, including bats, reptiles, amphibians, otters, barn owls, desktop studies, data analysis, and report writing.

As a Graduate Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including habitat and protected species surveys, desktop studies, data analysis, and report writing. You will also receive training and support to develop your skills and knowledge in ecology and conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support highly skilled ecologists in undertaking habitat and protected species surveys
  • Develop field craft and consultancy skills as part of a professional team
  • Work on exciting, ground-breaking projects
  • Receive training and support to develop skills and knowledge in ecology and conservation
  • Contribute to the development of well-rounded ecologists who can talk about all stages of a project

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Degree or equivalent in the area of ecology, conservation, or similar relevant discipline
  • Be a student or qualifying member of CIEEM (or at least have evidence of working towards securing this)
  • Have an understanding of the principles of ecological survey and mitigation work
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be willing to work flexible, unsociable hours, including evenings and early mornings
  • Be willing to travel for work
  • Valid UK driving licence and ideally access to a vehicle
