Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of procurement and supply chain matters, supporting the Department Head in generating a high standard of service delivery and achieving successful outcomes for clients.
- Lead on the preparation of bids and tender opportunities in conjunction with the Department Head.
- Provide accurate advice and reporting to clients, both internal and external.
- Manage and ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of projects, commissions, and professional assignments.
- Take a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team leader.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaise with stakeholders to ensure efficient financial control.
- Lead on undertaking strategic procurement and sourcing activities.
- Advise clients on undertaking public procurement activities, enabling a robust assurance provision.
- Ensure all work outputs are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with the in-house communications team to produce articles demonstrating thought leadership and viewpoints.
- Assist Department Heads in pursuing business leads.
- Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner; meet, negotiate, and correspond with clients to form strong working relationships.
- Manage junior procurement staff.
- Assist Department Heads in operational management duties.
- Educated to a degree standard or equivalent and (ideally) MCIPS qualified (or equivalent professional body).
- Strategic procurement and tendering experience within public/private sectors.
- A minimum of ten years technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy or client environment (public or private).
- Experience in infrastructure projects and knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts and outsourcing contracts would be an added bonus.
- Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute.
- A team leader with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
