Position Overview
On-Site Water Treatment Technician

This role involves on-site chemical analysis, requiring a blend of testing, maintenance, and servicing of our water treatment systems at client locations. Responsibilities include managing chemical deliveries to storage tanks, maintaining inventory levels, planning and organizing tasks, coordinating with subcontractors, and discussing operational activities during regular review meetings with clients.
Previous experience in the UK Water Treatment sector is crucial, particularly in Cooling Towers, Legionella management, and Closed System Treatment. Candidates with experience in Chlorine Dioxide systems, Domestic Legionella control, Steam Boilers, and other relevant areas will be favored. Due to the nature of the position, a full DBS check is required, and candidates must have resided in the UK for the past five years, unless serving overseas with UK Forces.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conducting water sampling and documenting results.
- Calibrating equipment and generating necessary calibration certificates.
- Performing specialized maintenance on technology and equipment.
- Operating dosing pumps, adjusting dosing rates as needed, and troubleshooting issues.
- Diagnosing and resolving warning/error messages on control systems.
- Explaining basic technical concepts to clients and providing solutions.
- Completing LCA audit checklists for EVS suppliers.
- Utilizing the Gensuite system for managing QEHS documentation.
- Planning compliance calendar tasks and conducting inspection tool audits.
- Familiarizing with commercial agreements and ensuring adherence; notifying the team of any client-requested changes.
- Identifying upgrade opportunities, including chemical dosing equipment, training, analytical services, or expanded supply scope.
- Assisting with project execution from initial surveying to completion.
- Engaging in review meetings with clients.
- Compiling Operations Manuals for clients.
- Managing chemical and salt deliveries to client facilities.
- Overseeing scheduled tasks and ensuring coordination among multiple operatives to fulfill contract obligations.
Important Considerations:
A valid UK driving license is required. Only applications from individuals eligible to work in the UK will be considered. Successful candidates will need to pass a DBS check and must have lived in the UK for the last five years to meet site security requirements (unless serving overseas with UK Forces).

Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent scientific qualification.
- Significant experience in the UK Water Treatment Industry.
