About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. As an On-Site Chemical Analyst, you will be responsible for testing, maintaining, and servicing our water treatment equipment on site at our client location near Heathrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing water sampling and documenting findings
  • Calibration of equipment and generating calibration certificates as required
  • Specialised maintenance of technology & equipment
  • Operation of dosing pumps – changing dosing rates as required and diagnosing issues
  • Diagnosing warning/error messages on control equipment and rectifying issues
  • Communicating basic technical concepts to the customer and finding solutions
  • Competently carrying out LCA audit checklist on EVS suppliers
  • Using the Gensuite system to manage QEHS documentation
  • Planning compliance calendar tasks and inspection tool audits
  • Getting familiar with the commercial agreement and ensuring this is followed; making sure the team are made aware of any customer requested scope change
  • Identifying opportunities for upgrades, whether chemical dosing equipment, training, analytical services or increased scope of supply
  • Assisting with project execution as required, from surveying to completion
  • Participating and engaging in review meetings with customers
  • Compiling Operations Manuals for customer
  • Managing Chemical & Salt Deliveries to customer plant
  • Overseeing scheduled works and ensuring that multiple Operatives working on the account are in sync and the contract scope is fully executed

Requirements

  • Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent scientific degree qualification
  • Solid experience of working within the UK Water Treatment Industry
  • Experience working with Cooling Towers, Closed Systems, Legionella
