Evening Care Assistant Opportunity

Home Instead Horsham, Haywards Heath & Burgess Hill is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly within their homes. We provide care that is as unique as each of our clients, grounded in compassion, respect, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with evening routines, including personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
  • Prepare evening meals and assist with feeding if necessary, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
  • Provide companionship, engaging in conversation, and participating in activities that clients enjoy.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure clients' living spaces are clean and comfortable.
  • Offer medication reminders and assist with bedtime preparations.
  • Ensure a safe environment for the client, addressing any immediate needs or concerns.
Working Hours:

Evening shifts, typically starting from 6 pm to 10 pm. Flexibility is required, with the possibility of working weekends on a rotational basis.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • A warm, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with clients and their families.
  • A reliable, organised, and flexible approach to work.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
