About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Services team at UAB Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the referring physician and based on individual patient needs.
  • Complete patient-related documentation, ensuring content and timeliness to meet all professional requirements and legal/regulatory specifications.
  • Develop and implement plans of care for Physical Therapy Assistants, adhering to APTA guidelines.
  • Train and orient new department staff and participate in the clinical training and supervision of assigned students and interns.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy required.
  • Currently registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
  • Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
