About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accountant to join our team at Yorkshire Building Society. As a Technical Accountant, you will play a critical role in calculating and preparing monthly IFRS 9 provisioning for certain mortgage portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare monthly IFRS 9 provisioning for certain mortgage portfolios
  • Produce quarterly and annual reporting on the Society's provisioning
  • Work closely with Credit Risk and Modelling teams to ensure effective reporting and compliance with IFRS 9

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Highly numerate, intellectually strong and capable of digesting and interpreting technical information
  • Rigorous, methodical and well organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines
