Electrical Construction Manager Job Description

1st Step Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead our Data Centre project in West London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the electrical services delivery, health and safety, and subcontractor performance.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Contracts Manager and Projects Manager.
  • Manage and oversee the on-site construction team, including electrical and external contractors.
  • Implement project health & safety strategies and ensure compliance with current regulations.
  • Report and manage Health and Safety issues, and maintain PPE for the team.
  • Audit supply chain works onsite and compile project-specific RAMS.
  • Lead the management of the electrical safe system of works and quality assurance meetings.
  • Coordinate trade-to-trade handover and manage supply chain snagging and de-snagging.
  • Audit construction installation works for electrical compliance.

Requirements:

  • Industry-relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Manager.
  • Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours towards site health and safety.
  • Experience dealing with mechanical sub-contractors.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
