Agricultural Engineer - Petworth Position Overview

Our client, a well-established family business with over 100 years of experience in the agricultural industry, is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to join their team at the Petworth depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain machinery from top franchises, including CLAAS and Horsch, to the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring machine reliability and safety.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling services provided by the company wherever possible.
  • Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and other faults prior to initiating and completing a repair.
  • Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer when required (training will be given).
  • Complete a detailed report of work completed, including supporting photographs and documentation of all worked hours.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary to fulfill the role.
Agricultural Engineer - Petworth Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience, knowledge, and experience of a variety of machinery, ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction industry.
  • A relevant qualification within the field of Land-Based Engineering.
  • A full driving license and the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes.
  • Flexibility to work weekends during peak harvest season.
Agricultural Engineer - Petworth Position Remuneration

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • Salary: £25,000 - £45,000 per annum OTE based on experience, paid hourly.
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8am - 3.30pm with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break (basic 39 hour working week).
  • Holiday Package: 24 days + 8BH.
  • Pension: 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution.
  • Life Assurance including dependent's pension.
  • Overtime available (Mon - Sat time and a half, Sunday - double time, bank holiday Monday - double time & day in lieu).
  • Company Van.
  • Ongoing training as required.
