Agricultural Engineer - Petworth Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our team at the Petworth depot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining machinery from leading franchises, ensuring machine reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain machinery from a range of first-class franchises, adhering to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and other faults, ensuring prompt and effective repairs.
  • Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer, with training provided as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of work completed, including supporting photographs and documentation of worked hours.
  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill the role.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge and experience of various machinery, ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction industry.
  • A relevant qualification in Land-Based Engineering is desirable.
  • A full driving license and ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes.
  • Willingness to work weekends during peak harvest season.
Remuneration:
  • Salary: £25,000 - £45,000 per annum OTE based on experience, paid hourly.
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm, Friday, 8am - 3.30pm, with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Holiday package: 24 days + 8BH.
  • Pension: 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution.
  • Life assurance, including dependent's pension.
  • Overtime available (Mon - Sat time and a half, Sunday - double time, bank holiday Monday - double time & day in lieu).
  • Company van.
  • Ongoing training as required.
